Music at Covenant

The music program at Covenant has three major components: classroom instruction, instrumental and choral music performance, and music technology.
 
Music Instruction
 
Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight, receive weekly music instruction. Our youngest learners are introduced to the grammar of music beginning with the concepts of rhythm, pitch, tone, and note value. As students progress through the elementary grades they are introduced to music theory and composition while learning to read music with a wide variety of music genres. Upper school students have elective options to learn the history of music and its appreciation.
